For us, the Ka’u Classic Medium Roast is the quintessential coffee from the south side of the Big Island. In August 2020, this coffee scored 93 points in Coffee Review.
“Floral-toned, richly aromatic, chocolaty. Elegantly sweet structure with Meyer lemon-like acidity; full, viscous mouthfeel. Apricot, honey, lavender, baking chocolate, a hint of pipe tobacco in aroma and cup. The inviting finish leads with notes of baking chocolate and apricot, with pipe tobacco resurfacing in the long.”
Our Ka’u Classic Medium Roast features Typica, the most common coffee variety in Hawaii. Grown in the rich soil and cool climate of the Mauna Loa volcano’s southern slope, these beans are made with a washed process, then sun-dried.
