It's been some time since we've had our heralded Red Bourbon available as a natural dried coffee - and it returned with our highest-ever Coffee Review rating!
We hand-pick our ripe red bourbon cherries and lay them to sun dry in a thin layer on wire screens. After up to three weeks of sun drying, we store the whole, dried cherries and let them rest for a few months before roasting to order.
The result is a sweet, fruity, complex cup that shines a unique light onto one of our most cherished coffee varietals, and was featured as a 96-point entry in Coffee Review's August 2023 feature article: https://www.coffeereview.com/coffees-from-women-producers/
"Complex, multi-layered, gently fruit-forward. Grape taffy, dark chocolate, dark chocolate, almond brittle, orange creamsicle in aroma and cup. Sweet-toned structure with gently bright acidity; silky, viscous mouthfeel. Resonantly chocolaty finish with undertones of almond and orange."
