Maragogype (also known as Maragogipe) has the largest beans of any Coffea arabica cultivar. A bean can stretch across the diameter of a penny. Its large size and low density makes it tricky to roast, but with the right profile, it's a beautiful coffee.
"Deep-toned, richly sweet-savory. Dark chocolate, hop flowers, lychee, sandalwood, almond brittle in aroma and cup. Sweet-savory structure with round, gentle acidity; plush, creamy mouthfeel. The resonant finish is redolent with notes of almond brittle and lychee."
